How can I get forms for various approvals/NOC etc. for setting up an industry in Uttar Pradesh?
Ans: For getting forms for approvals/NOC for setting up any industry in Uttar Pradesh, you need to get registered on the Single Table System. For getting registered, click on “Get Registered Now” and you will get a simple form. Fill up all the information asked for in the Registration Form and click on “Submit” button at the bottom of the Form. On submission, a unique Unit ID No. will be generated for you. With this Unit ID No. and your Password as you have filled in the Registration Form, you can access the Entrepreneur Section through the Home Page itself, wherein you will find all the Forms for setting up an industry. 

How do I know whether the product, which I am manufacturing, needs an NOC from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board or not?
Ans: The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board has notified a list of 220 products that do not need an NOC, for their manufacture. The list of the products can be viewed in the Guidelines Section of the Single Table System.

What is the investment limit in plant and machinery for an SSI?
Ans: As per the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act passed by the Parliament on May 18, 2006, the investment limit in plant and machinery for small scale industries has been enhanced to Rs. 5 crores. However, the Central Government appoints the 2nd day of October, 2006 as the date on which the provisions of the MSMED Act shall come into force. What incentives can I avail if I am setting up an industry in a backward area of Uttar Pradesh?
Ans: GoUP has recently announced Capital Investment Subsidy on SSI & Tiny industries in 29 Districts of Purvanchal & 7 Districts of Bundelkhand. The Notification No. 793/18-5-2006-8 (G-1)/2004 dated 9th June 2006 provides for Capital Investment Subsidy at a rate of 10% of Fixed Capital Investments (maximum Rs. 5 lac). For SC/ST/Women this limit is 15% (maximum Rs. 7.5 lacs). To avail subsidy, it has to apply to Nationalised Bank/Financial Institution and General Manager, District Industries Centre (GM, DIC) of the district concerned, on the prescribed performa. This benefit is available in case of expansion/modernisation & diversification also.

I do not own a computer or an Internet connection. Hence I will not be able to fill up the Application online. What do I do in such case?
Ans: As per the U.P. Government G.O. No. 2140/77-6-2006/06 dated August 14, 2006, any entrepreneur can avail the benefits of the web enabled Single Table System software from the offices of the General Manager, District Industries Center. In addition to this, the facilities can also be accessed from any of the 30 District Chapter Offices of Indian Industries Association. Apart from this the applicant can access the website from any Cyber Café. The facilities can also be accessed from any office of Indian Industries Association due to open in the near future.

There are various Rules/Regulations, which I came across while filling up the Pollution Control Form. How can I see them online?
Ans: Links of relevant Sections of Rules/Acts have been given on the website e.g. Air Act, Water Act, Water Cess Act, Environment Protection Act, Hazardous Waste Management & Handling Rules etc. Link to the list of the list of 220 items, which do not require a NOC, is given through the Guidelines Section on the Home Page of Single Table System. In addition to this links have also been provided to relevant sections of Factories Act, U.P. Trade Tax Act, Central Sales Tax Act, Drug/Cosmetic Act, U.P. Breweries Rules, Medicinal & Toilet Preparations (Excise Duties) Act, Hazardous Materials/Explosives Act etc.
